Why Mypinpad

What stays yours

Your gateway, your backend, your merchants and your roadmap. Mypinpad is independent from card schemes, acquirers and hardware vendors, so our commercial interests stay aligned with yours. These are facts about how the business is built, not features on a roadmap.

01

Even when we are not there

Your merchants keep taking payments

PCI MPoC has three sub-programmes. The third — Attestation & Monitoring Services — permits offline operation. Mypinpad is listed and validated against all three, so if our backend is unavailable, merchants keep transacting for up to 24 hours, then reconnect and re-attest.

  • Offline operation within the window the MPoC standard allows — not a fallback bolted on afterwards
  • Attestation and monitoring stay active throughout, so security is not traded for availability

Most platforms hold certifications. This is what one of them does for your merchants on a bad day.

02

No re-platforming

Your infrastructure stays yours

Transactions route direct to your existing gateway. Your processing relationships, settlement, reporting and host integrations stay where they are. Mypinpad is not in the critical path for authorisation, which is what makes the higher service level possible.

The acceptance layer changes; the infrastructure underneath it does not. Direct-to-customer deployments carry a contractual 99.99% service level on DTC-GW and D2A-hard, and every transaction reaches your systems in real time, with a portal your team runs and open APIs behind it. That is 10.5M+ monthly transactions across 28 countries, on components built and operated entirely in-house.

03

We never compete with you

Your merchants stay yours

Mypinpad is not controlled by a card scheme, an acquiring group, or a hardware manufacturer. As the SoftPOS market consolidates, independence becomes more valuable — not less. Understanding who controls your vendor is now a strategic decision.

Scheme-owned vendors

Your multi-scheme strategy becomes their mono-scheme agenda. Scheme-bundled SoftPOS could tie kernel access to processing.

Acquirer-owned and vertically integrated vendors

Your technology partner is also competing for your merchants. Where one group owns acquiring, processing and acceptance, the line between partner and competitor has already gone.

OEM-owned vendors

Hardware vendors have hardware revenue to protect. Every SoftPOS deployment cannibalises a terminal sale.

Mypinpad never competes with its customers. Our commercial interests are structurally aligned with yours. As major acquirers absorb processing businesses and terminal OEMs build in-house SoftPOS, the number of truly independent vendors shrinks. Independence compounds over time.

04

One integration, three pillars

Your roadmap stays yours

Mypinpad spans three product pillars — Payments, Authentication, and Software & Services. A bank uses it for card activation. A fintech for identity verification. An e-commerce platform for fraud reduction. An acquirer for SoftPOS. All on one platform, white-labelled to their brand.

  • Nubank and Mercado Libre run at enterprise scale on Mypinpad
  • 1.8M+ merchants across 28 countries — from micro-merchant to multinational
  • Any device: smartphones, tablets, purpose-built hardware, PTS terminals, commercial devices

Standards involvement

Validated where it counts

Mypinpad is listed and validated against PCI MPoC v1.1 across all three sub-programmes — Software, Solution, and Attestation & Monitoring Services. It also holds one of the small number of software vendor seats on the PCI Security Standards Council Board of Advisors, alongside Apple, Stripe and PayPal, which means sight of where the standards are going rather than only where they are.

Member (2025–2027). A seat at the table where the standards your integration must meet are discussed — which means we track regulatory direction before it becomes a compliance deadline for you.

PCI PIN v3.1

Validated for the secure management and processing of PINs across our platform. PIN entry on the device itself is covered by PCI MPoC.

PCI MPoC — Solution

The full SoftPOS solution is validated against the MPoC Solution sub-programme. Scope for your deployment is confirmed when we look at it.

PCI MPoC — Software

The software components are independently validated against PCI's software security requirements. Combined with the Solution sub-programme, this gives your integration two-layer coverage.

PCI MPoC — Attestation & Monitoring

Ongoing security monitoring and attestation services, listed and validated against the third MPoC sub-programme. Continuous compliance monitoring is built in — not something you need to add.

PCI DSS v4.0.1 Level 1

The highest level of payment card data security compliance. Level 1 is the tier required for the largest transaction volumes — and the standard enterprise customers expect of a platform handling sensitive cardholder data.

ISO 27001:2022

Information security management across the full organisation, not just the product. Certified against the 2022 revision — the current standard. Gives you auditable evidence of operational security discipline alongside product-level certification.
