David Poole joins the Executive Team at MYPINPAD Limited

22 January 2014 – MYPINPAD Limited offers a transformational ‘authentication as a service’ platform globally for the payments industry and is delighted to announce the appointment of David Poole to its executive management team as Business Development Director.

David is a 25 year veteran of technology, Point of Sale and payment software solutions. Most recently at leading terminal supplier VeriFone, he spearheaded the integration of the EMEA sales and marketing teams after the acquisition of Lipman and Trintech in 2006. In 2010 he co-founded and was appointed Managing Director of Miura Systems and drove that business to a dominant global position in the emerging mobile segment, winning contracts with PayPal, iZettle and Intuit.

Having been at the forefront of new technology adoption into payments processes he is excited to be joining MYPINPAD at this time as it continues to earn the attention of major payments system stakeholders in global markets. Digital commerce is growing exponentially; the associated levels of fraud are doing the same and are rapidly becoming intolerable. David comments “The payments industry has shown that it can adapt and leverage new technology for the benefit of all stakeholders. The MYPINPAD solution provides opportunities to reduce risk, enhance card holder confidence and improve operating margins. Organisations able to implement its technology can realise significant competitive advantage.”

Authentication of the card holder/account holder must evolve; it has become a key element in all payment innovation. Historical methods, unchanged for over twenty years, do not provide a sound and trusted basis for commerce today. MYPINPAD’s proprietary technology provides a new secure methodology, with many implementation options to enhance the authentication process for digital commerce in mobile, home, work scenarios – wherever it occurs.

MYPINPAD is designed specifically to secure digital commerce transactions irrespective of their origin. This transformational ‘authentication as a service’ platform is now available globally for the payments industry. It enables transactions on unsecured electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets and personal computers to be managed and processed in a secure manner without disrupting existing protocols.

Through enabling direct PIN entry the solution facilitates improved security, reduced risk and fraud, improved convenience and through changing the economics of the transaction improves the return on investment for issuers and acquirers, processors, schemes, merchants and networks.
